"The client was very vague about what they wanted. "Something we can hang up in the yard" was about as descriptive as they got. Upon visiting it was obvious they were very attached to their three corgis. They live in northern Washington and I was inspired by all of the native art that is so prominent in that region. The obvious solution was of course, corgi-totem-pole!

After making some rough sketches I finished the design in Illustrator and then hand painted a board for the yard.

They were ecstatic upon seeing the final result. I found out years later that the father had gotten the graphic tattoo'd on himself. His first tattoo at the ago of sixty three!"
